Barnes Ice Cap

A map titled: Barnes Ice Cap, Baffin Island, Nunavut, Canada. The map is comprised of a Sentinel-2 RGB image satellite image showing the ice cap which is up to 60 km across and in excess of 100 km long. Surrounding the ice cap are mountains, some with snow covered peaks, others rocky, along with many bright blue lakes. Overlaid on top of the ice cap are flow lines indicating the direction of ice flow, and colored according to the speed of flow. The lines clearly show the ice divide in the middle of the ice cap. The color of the flow lines is on a logarithmic scale from 0 to 100 m/yr, as shown in the color-bar beneath the main plot. In the upper left is an inset showing where Baffin Island's position to the west of Greenland, and above the north eastern limit of North America.
